History Fair Project is here! Well, actually it will be January 28-29, 2019.
Below is the 3rd grade history standard that we will be focusing on for their history project this year.
Students demonstrate basic economic reasoning skills, and an understanding of the economy of the local region.
The History Fair Project should include a poster board display and an in-class presentation of your child's findings. Students will also create a powerpoint presentation or Google Slides presentation to accompany their in-class presentation.
Students will work outside of class on this project.
Project will be due on January 22nd. This will be one week before the History Fair, and allow time for oral presentations in class with your child's poster board, which will be used for their oral presentations, as well as being displayed for the fair.
Your child will be creating his/her own candy company. If you click the button below you will receive a link to the packet which explains everything that is needed to create their candy company. In addition to the packet the students will need to show "real pictures" of samples of their cookies or candy that they are creating. Their candy company should be as close to "real" as possible. Therefore, the pictures and ingredients should be "real" as well. Have fun! Be creative! Look for a rubric to follow after the Winter break when the students return. Thanks, Merry Christmas and God Bless You.
I have included the two other links below for just extra practice with adjectives and multiplication. These are no longer due. For those parents who did work on this with your child extra credit was given, thank you.
